A site – specific performance
Don José falls in love with Carmen in front of Violetta, Gastone argues with Dancairo and Mercedes falls for Baron Dufoll.
Oper(O) created an interactive operatic performance in the pedestrian area of Miltiadou street. Using features from their past productions, Carmen (G. Bizet) and Traviata (G. Verdi), Oper(O) unravelled a new original story based on common dramatic typecasts around which the two works evolve. Two actors mingled in the audience set up an interactive play with singers acting as pawn-players, acting and singing on the balconies of a neoclassical building. Passers-by and spectators chose the finale.
